Making: New prints

I’m knee deep in some new prints this week. Or perhaps I should say cold deep as I’m attempting to finish off some editions with a head cold. Makes for some interesting screen printing! Spring Artwalk at The Brewery is this weekend and I’ll be showing in my usual space, Theory Labs. Come on down to see the new prints I’ll posting this week and some old favorites.

The above print is 20″ by 20″ and an edition of 8. It’s a vinyl record image screen printed in yellow, magenta and cyan to create a color wheel. I wish the orange overlap of the red and yellow came through a bit more but it still looks kinda great. I used an actual clear record with some chips and scratches for a more aged effect. I’ll also be screen printing on-site at Artwalk another image of a vinyl record on old sheet music. That should look great as well!
