I got a replacement lens for my camera! As I mentioned in my last post the lens I had bought with my camera came apart in two pieces this past weekend. I’ll be able to send it in, it’s under warranty but with artwalk money burning a whole in my pocket I decided to upgrade to a lens that would suite my needs better. I got the 50mm when I bought my canon XT DSLR about six months ago because it was cheap (about $80) and I would be able to learn what I really needed as I used the camera.
Today we drove me to The City of Industry to make a swap in a Krispy Creme parking lot; some cash for a Canon 17-85mm lens. It retails on amazon for $450 and I picked mine up for $270. So far, super happy, I won’t bore you with why the 50mm wasn’t really working for me but hopefully this will solve a few problems I was running into.
And this past sunday I recieved an awesome package in the mail! Behold, the “Cuddly Pig” in all his Glory!
I sent my mom the pattern from the image that inspired this print and she made me a Cuddly Pig! The real one isn’t nearly as stern as the image from the original pattern…unless I squish my finger into the space between his eyes and push back…then he looks very stern and it sends me into a fit of giggles! YAY CUDDLY PIG! Thanks Mom!
