Making: New prints.

I’ve been working in the studio so I have some new things to share.
Wish print!
14 by 18 inches.

I started this one the other day and unfortunately because it was so bloody hot that day my back ground ink layer was drying as fast as I could print it. So the screen clogged up a bit as I was printing and kept the print from having a super crisp edge. But the hand printed nature of printing sometimes lends itself to irregularities.

Two small collages
I’ve been tinkering with what my mixed media work is supposed to look like these days. These two pieces are experiments combining a screen printed image with collage elements and painted bits.
The words on the collage say “She was waiting in the garden for the dawn”

miriamdema-2008-148And “The air smelled sweet like rotten candy.”
